Zap! Bang! Pow!
A one of a kind collaboration with FST Improv and FST Children’s Theatre! Grab your cape and mask, and join us on a one of a kind improvised superhero adventure. Created live on stage using suggestions from the audience! Will our hero use his super powers to defeat the forces of evil? Will her kryptonite be math homework, vegetables, or video games? The choice is up to you! Created in the spirit of “Choose Your Own Story” theatre, this show is an opportunity for your child to be a part of the adventure!
Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased by clicking the buy tickets button above or by calling the FST box office at (941) 366-9000. Alexa Eldridge | Acting Apprentice
Alexa Eldridge is an Arkansas native and a recent graduate from Illinois Wesleyan University with a BFA in Acting and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. Her IWU credits include: Hamlet (Queen Gertrude), Giant (Lupe), A Lie of the Mind (Lorraine), Hay Fever (Clara), Float (Doodee), Steel Magnolias (Truvy), and was most recently in the workshop premiere of good friday by Kristiana Rae Colón as Emme. Alexa is thrilled to be a part of the FST family!
Patrick A. Jackson | WRITE A PLAY Coordinator | Education Artistic Associate
Patrick is a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA where he received his B.A. in Drama and studied abroad with the British American Drama Academy. He is a proud alumnus of Florida Studio Theatre’s Acting Apprentice Program. He can be seen on stage with FST Improv and was recently in the short film, When the Party Ends. In addition to acting, Patrick is also a playwright and spoken word artist. His play, REDplus was produced in the DC Black Theatre Festival. www.patrickajackson.com
Jacob Perkel | Acting Apprentice
Jacob Perkel is a recent BFA graduate from the University of Houston. UH credits include: Fuenteovejuna (Frondoso), The Playboy of the Western World (Shawn), The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Elmer), and The Snow Queen (Cei). Other credits include: The Whale (Elder Thomas), Sixty Miles to Silver Lake (Denny), Tea and Sympathy (Tom Lee), No Exit (Valet), Floyd Collins (Skeets Miller), Violet (Monty), Rabbit Hole (Jason), and A Little Night Music (Henrik). Jacob is excited to join the Florida Studio team and experience life outside of Texas.
Kihresha Redmond | Acting Apprentice
Kihresha Redmond is from Cleveland, OH. She graduated with her BFA in Acting from Ohio University this past May. Her most recent roles include Intimate Apparel (Esther), the world premiere of Elbows Off the Table (M), and Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical (Tribe). She is very excited to be joining the FST family for the next year.
Will Luera | Director | Director of Improvisation
Director of Improvisation at Florida Studio Theatre, Director of Big Bang Improv and Artistic Director Emeritus of ImprovBoston, Artistic Director of the Pilsen Improv Festival, Artistic Associate of the Chicago Improv Festival, Artistic Advisor to the Women in Comedy Festival and Part-time Faculty at Boston College. Will has appeared in numerous improv festivals around the world and have studied improvisation with ImprovOlympic, The Second City, The Annoyance Theater, The Upright Citizens Brigade, and Keith Johnstone. Will has been working with Florida Studio Theatre since 2014. Before that he was with ImprovBoston where he had worked since 1997 directing the Mainstage cast and developing the nationally renowned productions of Sitcom, Secret Society, Blue Screen, Playbook and Quest. In 2004, he was the Boston and national winner of PAX-TVs World Cup Comedy. He is also a producer and actor in Strange Faculty, which was accepted to the 2007 New York Television Festival, the 2008 Los Angeles Independent Television Festival and was a winner of the 2008 NBC Comedy Short Cuts competition. He tours globally as an improv and theater actor, director and instructor that performs and teaches regularly all across North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
