Aaron is a musical theatre-obsessed fifth grader who pogo sticks to school and wears a fanny pack at all times. Unable to write legibly or catch a ball, Aaron is sent to work with Ms. Jimenez, a severely depressed Occupational Therapist. After initially clashing, the two begin to form an unlikely bond. How to Draw a Triangle is a new comedy about emerging queerness, the wreckage of our past, the heroes who go out on a limb to help us become ourselves.

The Burdick Play Reading Festival

New Play Development is the lifeblood of Florida Studio Theatre. Reading series, like this one, provide select works in progress with a platform, a live audience, artistic support, and valuable feedback in order to nurture the development of new plays for the stage. To date, FST has produced over 30 world premieres, many of which have been supported and nurtured through FST’s New Play Development program.
