The CardShark is a live, interactive, sleight-of-hand show. Jason Michaels will pull back the curtain on how he can amaze and deceive, and audiences dive deeply into the arts of illusion.  Having spent time in casinos from Las Vegas to Atlantic City, he highlights the skills he uses to eliminate the advantage that casinos typically have. Getting swindled has never been this much fun.

The CardShark by Jason Michaels will play from July 19, 2016 through August 21, 2016 in the John C. The Cardshark, Jason Michaels, has been studying sleight-of-hand and its relationship to theatre for over twenty-four years. This intriguing and magical show is suitable for all ages. Middle and high school students may enjoy Mr. Michael’s story telling while performing card tricks. The audience plays a large character in The Cardshark show. Be ready to jump on stage and be a part of the trickery – the audience may learn a thing or two about how not to be conned.

Jason Michaels


Jason Michaels (The CardShark) has been studying sleight of hand and theater for over twenty-four years.  A storyteller by heart, Jason love to blend impossible mysteries with unforgettable tales. Because of his inquisitive nature, Jason thoroughly enjoys performing for both artistic, cultured audiences as well   as highly intelligent, analytical crowds.  He has entertained VIPs including Martina McBride, Kix Brooks, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, Rodney Atkins, Derrick Mason, and more. Jason has also shared his style of interactive sleight of hand and humor with corporate audiences, universities, and for private social affairs all over the world, including Nashville, Chicago, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Orlando, the Caribbean, Shanghai, Beijing, and London.

For those who require additional assistance or handicap parking/drop off, please see the map below. Handicap parking is reserved for patrons with a handicap tag and is in the lot across from the Hegner Theatre Wing. The area for drop off of handicap passengers/patrons for the Court Cabaret is along the corner of First Street and Cocoanut Avenue. If handicap parking is not available and you are dropping off a passenger, our lobby concierge would be happy to wait with them until you return.
