A tuneful and memorable tribute, Patsy Cline's rise to legendary stardom is told through the eyes of her biggest fan, Louise Seger. From her performances in honky-tonks to the Grand Ole Opry, Patsy Cline will "always" have a place in country music, with hit songs such as, “Walking After Midnight,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Crazy,” “Sweet Dreams,” and many more you know and love.

Meredith JonesMEREDITH JONES (Patsy Cline) was last seen in FST's 2017 Cabaret production of Gypsies, Tramps, and Theives. Since graduating from Emerson College with a BFA in musical theatre, she has performed in numerous regional theatres across the country. Most recently she was seen at Theatre Raleigh in her regional debut of Vanities as Mary. Favorite credits include: Julie Jordan in Carousel, Julia Gulia in Wedding Singer, and Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods.

TONY BRUNO (Drums) is honored and proud of his 30-year work relationship with FST. Recently, Tony appeared in FST’s record breaking Piano Men, as well as FST's 2017 Summer Mainstage production of Burt & Me. He has drummed for over 60 different musicals across the country, completed 15 national tours, and performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world. A career not limited to show drumming, Tony has shared stage and recording studio with many true greats in the music world; BB King, The Tokens, Junior Watson, June Garber, Benny E King, and Dick Hyman, to name a few.

CHUCK DAVIS (Bass Guitar) started his musical career playing guitar in rock bands, Top 40 cover bands, and show bands. He was the lead guitarist for “The Happenings,” “See You in September” (1966), and “I’ve Got Rhythm” (1967). He shared the stage with Gloria Gaynor (“I Will Survive), Lou Rawls, Little Anthony, Johnny Maestro, and The Brooklyn Bridge, Fabian, Bobby Rydell, Lou Christie, Martha Reeves and The Vandella’s, and The Shirelles. A long time resident of NY, he built a recording studio in the Hudson Valley where he produced and recorded local artists. Most recently, Chuck was the guitarist for the FST Cabaret show Piano Men and The Toxic Avenger at Venice Theatre.

SKIP ELLIS (Steel & Rhythm Guitar) has been a part of the area music scene since 1970, as a player, teacher, and retail music store owner. He discovered theater in the early '80s and has been a part of  numerous productions all over the west coast, playing  lead/rhythm guitar as well as pedal steel guitar for most of the area theaters, including  FST. He’s excited to back at FST as a ‘Bodacious Bobcat’ once again, presenting Patsy’s great tunes to theatergoers.

KATE ALEXANDER (Director) is the Associate Director At-Large of FST and the Founder of the FST Theatre School with its acting method of training. Ms. Alexander has directed numerous productions and premieres on the FST stages including The Things They Carried; Native Gardens; Heisenberg; The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey; brownsville song (b-side for tray); Clever Little Lies;  Alabama Story; Outside Mullingar; Over the River and Through the Woods; Chapatti; Dancing Lessons; Becoming Dr. Ruth; Freud’s Last Session; Thurgood; South Beach Babylon; The Columnist; Talley’s Folly; Jericho; Next Fall; The Savannah Disputation; Ghost-Writer; Two Jews Walk into a War...; I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change; Sylvia; Shotgun; The Miamians; Brooklyn Boy; The Exonerated; Wit; Proof; Lobby Hero; and Ten Unknowns. Ms. Alexander has also been a resident actress for over 25 years. Some of her leading roles were in the plays: Edward Albee’s The Goat; Filumena; Master Class; Edward Albee’s Three Tall Women; The Occupant;The Play About the Baby; Golda’s Balcony; and Taking Shakespeare. Ms. Alexander is the recipient of numerous acting, directing, and public service awards, including FAER, She Knows Where She’s Going Award (Girls, Inc.), The Woman of Light Award, National Council of Jewish Women Award, The Woman of Power Award, the Sarasota County Arts Leadership Award, Education Award, Sarasota Manatee Jewish Federation, The Unity Award, and most recently, the One World Award. Ms. Alexander leads the FST Forums Series and developed the Blue Butterfly Theatre Program, a program for teens suffering from grief through loss. She created the Art of The Gesture program at Ringling College of Animation and is the co-author of The Animated Short, with Karen Sullivan, now in its 2nd edition.

ROY JOHNS (Stage Manager) is pleased to be back for another season at FST. He has had an exciting and varied career both on stage and behind the scenes from Tokyo Disneyland to the White House. ISABEL & MORIAH CURLEY-CLAY (Scenic Designers) are award-winning scenic designers whose theatrical work can be seen on regional stages across the U.S. Recent credits include: The Magic Negro and other Blackity Blackness as told by an African American Man who also happens to be Black (Alliance Theatre); Lumberjacks in Love (Penobscott Theatre); Constellations (Horizon Theatre); Exit Strategy (Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre). Past designs at FST include Honor Killing; Native Gardens; Doublewide; Rich Girl; Clever Little Lies; The God of Isaac; The Fabulous Lipitones; Alabama Story; Outside Mullingar; Butler; Taking Shakespeare; Chapatti; Inspired Lunacy; Dancing Lessons; Hairspray; and One Man, Two Guvnors. Isabel and Moriah’s designs were recently featured in American Theater Magazine’s Roll Call, 7 Theatrical People To Watch and are both members of USA 829. 


SUSAN ANGERMANN (Costume Designer) began designing for Florida Studio Theatre in 1993 for the WRITE A PLAY production of The Emperor’s New Clothes. She has designed for the Mainstage, Stage III, Cabaret, and other WRITE A PLAY productions. Among recent productions are Honor Killing; Once; Robin Hood; The Exonerated; Stalking the Bogeyman; Yesterday; Older Than Dirt; Piano Men; and Chapatti.


THOM BEAULIEU (Lighting Designer) is an award-winning lighting and sound designer. His work has been experienced throughout the eastern US including Honor Killing, Once, Blue Suede Shoes, Mack the Knife: The Bobby Darin Songbook, Native Gardens, and Burt & Me (Florida Studio Theatre); The Waltz, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence, Carrie: the Musical, and The Lord of the Flies (The Winnipesaukee Playhouse); A Chorus Line, Floyd Collins, Sweet Charity, and Singin’ in the Rain (Aurora Theatre).  He holds a BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama, and a MS in Physics.


THOMAS KORP (Sound Designer) a former FST intern, is excited to be in his second season as staff. Previous projection work includes Grounded and The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey. Sound design credits include: Honor Killing, Native Gardens, How to Use a Knife, Once, The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, The Columnist, Talley’s Folley, A Chorus Line, Spamalot, and The West Side Waltz. Mixing Credits: Next to Normal, Das Barbecü, Smokey Joe’s Café, The World Goes Round, Tango: Buenos Aires, We Will Rock You. Sound engineer with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines 2014 – 2016.


TED SWINDLEY (Author) is internationally known as writer and director of the popular musical, Always…Patsy Cline. He is the founding artistic director of Stages Rep in Houston, Texas. He was also named to the Esquire Magazine’s register of outstanding Americans in the arts and letters. Mr. Swindley was the recipient of the Los Angeles Dramalogue award for outstanding direction of Carnal Knowledge by Jules Feiffer. Currently, he is president of Ted Swindley Productions, Inc., a theatrical licensing and consulting company, and continues his 30 year career writing plays and musicals, consulting and mentoring playwrights, as well as directing plays for various theatres throughout the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Swindley is an active member of The Dramatists Guild of America and Stage Directors and Choreographers.
