What do I do if I lose my tickets?

Not a problem. Just stop by the Box Office before your performance and we would be happy to reprint them for you.

When should I arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before showtime, so you have time to park, visit the Box Office, and enjoy a drink before the performance begins.

For those coming to the Court Cabaret, Goldstein Cabaret, or Bowne’s Lab for Improv, dining opens one hour prior to showtime.

What happens if I cannot attend or miss my show?

Our Box Office staff will be happy to help you exchange your tickets up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled FST performance. Subscribers enjoy the exclusive benefit of free, unlimited exchanges. Non-subscribers are still able to exchange tickets, though these exchanges incur a $5 charge per ticket. We are not able to exchange tickets for missed performances.

If you are unable to attend any other date and would like to donate your tickets back to the theatre, please contact the Box Office at 941.366.9000 in advance of your performance time.

What is a stand-by ticket?

Stand-By tickets are not guaranteed seats and are only available once all other seats are sold out. Patrons with Stand-By tickets should arrive about 10 minutes prior to show time and check in with an FST House Manager. At show time, if we have seats available, we will seat Stand-Bys. If we are unable to seat you, you will receive a refund for your Stand-By ticket along with a complimentary ticket to another performance of the same production.

Are there fees on tickets?

There is a $2 per-ticket fee for all single tickets and a $3 ticket fee per-subscription. Exchanges may accrue a separate fee. These fees exist to cover our banking costs which exist for all methods of payment.

Can I reserve tickets and pay for them when I come to the show?

All tickets must be paid for at the time of reservation. Florida Studio Theatre does not hold tickets without payment.

What does it mean if my seat is Partial View or Limited Vision?

Partial View or Limited Vision seats are seats in the Cabaret that are partially obstructed by a small support column that goes from the balcony to the main floor. These columns are about six inches wide and the chairs are able to be adjusted to see around them. Partial View and Limited Vision are a lower price than regular tickets.

What are High Top Seats?

High Top seats are bar-height tables and chairs at the back of the balcony for dining. At show time, patrons at these tables are instructed to pull the chairs forward, forming a second row in the balcony directly behind the tables along the balcony rail giving them a full view of the stage.

Where should I park?

We suggest that all patrons park in the Palm Avenue Parking Garage located on the east side of Palm Avenue, which is free for the first 2 hours.

Additional Parking is available, during evenings and weekends only, on all levels of the ICORR Garage located on the west side of Palm Avenue in the One Sarasota Tower.

Reserved disabled persons parking can be found in the First Street parking lot across from FST’s Hegner Theatre Wing.

May I take photos or videos of the performance?

While no video, photo, or audio recording may be taken during performances, we encourage you to take photos of and with the set before or after the show and during intermission. We just ask that you tag @FloridaStudioTheatre as well as the scenic designers when sharing on social media – we want to see your great pics!

Do FST theatres have listening devices?

The Gompertz Theatre, Keating Theatre, Court Cabaret, and Goldstein Cabaret are all equipped with a Telecoil or T-coil Loop system. No additional assistive listening devices are required for patrons with compatible hearing aids or cochlear implants. If you do not have a compatible device, we invite you to check out a loop receiver from the Box Office. Assistive listening devices are offered free of charge. A driver’s license or another form of ID is exchanged for the device until it is returned. Unfortunately, there are no assisted listening devices in the Bowne's Lab.

Can I take food and beverages into the theatre?

Yes. Food and beverage purchased at our concessions stands are permitted inside all theatres.

What if I arrive late?

Tickets are valid until show time. Please know that some productions or circumstances may not allow for late seating. We will do our best to accommodate latecomers whenever possible, however, this may mean that you will be seated in a location that is different from your assigned seating.

Can my tickets be refunded?

All tickets are a final sale. Tickets may be exchanged up to 48 hours prior to showtime for another performance of the same production.

Can I bring my children to the theatre?

While we believe theatre is important for all ages, not every FST production is appropriate for children. FST offers a full Children's Theatre season and for question on age appropriateness of any of our productions please contact the Box Office.

How will I receive my tickets?
