CAROLYN MICHEL is delighted to return to Florida Studio Theatre as Eppie, a/k/a Ann Landers. Carolyn has appeared on Broadway with Sid Caesar in Sid Caesar & Company. Florida Studio Theatre audiences will remember her from other one-woman performances: Rose, Dorothy Parker: One Foot in Scarsdale, and Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. Other FST favorites: the dog, Sylvia, in Sylvia, Lillian Hellman in Cakewalk, and roles in Don’t Dress For Dinner, Learned Ladies, The Heir Transparent, Dream Catchers, The Triumph of Love, Talking With, Execution of Justice, Greetings, Florida Foibles (An’ Fables Too), and Hell of a Town. Representative director credits at FST: Alfred Stieglitz Loves O’Keefe, Crimes of the Heart, Billy Bishop Goes to War. Carolyn was, for many years, involved with FST’s New Play Development. Carolyn will be going into her 17th season at the Asolo Repertory Theatre. Some representative roles: Kate in Broadway Bound, Miss Moffat in The Corn is Green, Becky Felderman in Morningstar, Maggie in Hobson’s Choice, Marjorie Taub in Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, Ellen Pazinski in Over the Tavern, Boo in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, The Millionairess in Shaw’s The Millionairess, and roles in Communicating Doors, Ladies of the Camellias, Sisters Rosenweig, The Voysey Inheritance, Brighton Beach Memoirs, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Kentucky Cycle, The Royal Family, Jane Eyre, I’m Not Rappaport, The Perfect Party, How the Other Half Loves, You Can’t Take It with You, The Diary of Anne Frank, Pride & Prejudice, and Expecting Isabel among others. Carolyn has also appeared locally at the Golden Apple and has performed at several regional theatres throughout the country. As producer-director Carolyn has worked with such celebrities as Ben Vereen, Jill Clayburgh, Hal Linden, Peter Allen, Alice Ghostley, Robert Vaughn, Peter Yarrow, Lee Meriwether, Tammy Grimes, Yaakov Smirnoff, Theodore Bikel, Alan King, Ed Koch, and Patrice Munsel. Carolyn’s volunteer efforts on behalf of Community AIDS Network have netted well over $1,000,000. In addition, she has produced and/or emceed benefits for FST, the Asolo, Planned Parenthood, SPRACC, Jewish Federation, American Jewish Committee, Van Wezel Foundation, and the Sarasota Arts Council, to name a few. She lives with the loves of her life: husband, Howard Millman, and their three pussycats: Rose, Sylvie, and Dottie.
