Last Rights
Assembled by Jason CannonLast Rights
Assembled by Jason CannonBased on interviews with Sarasotans, Last Rights explores the various rituals humanity has built around our final chapter, and digs in to the difficult questions surrounding it.
People are living longer than ever and the issues surrounding this incontrovertible fact range from moral, political, and cultural to legal, medical, and financial. What became clear in the course of our interviews is that most people aren’t necessarily afraid of dying, but how it's going to happen. A journey through the various stages of life, and how we as a culture and a species define mercy, pain, and compassion.
