by Mark St. GermainFreud’s Last Session is in an imagined depiction of a meeting between Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis, set in the final days of Freud’s life, on the very day that England entered the Second World War.
The play is inspired by Dr. Armand M. Nicholi Jr.’s book "The Question of God" which speculates on the meeting between Freud and Lewis that history can neither confirm nor deny.

GEORGE TYNAN CROWLEY was at FST to play the father in PROOF, the expatriate painter in TEN UNKNOWNS, the faithful husband in DINNER WITH FRIENDS, Oscar Wilde in TEN UNKNOWNS and recently, one of the “two Jews” in TWO JEWS WALK INTO A WAR. He just completed directing his own feature-length screenplay CLEOPATRA BACKSTAGE, now in its post-production, about regional theatre romance. He was at Lincoln Center this spring in the David Cromer-helmed NIKOLAI AND THE OTHERS by Richard Nelson and has appeared at HERE Arts Center, the WILMA in Philadelphia, The Studio in Washington D.C., Stratford’s American Shakespeare Theatre, NJ and Colorado Shakespeare Festivals, Albany’s Capital Rep, etc. MFA in Directing, Yale School of Drama. www.georgetynancrowley.com.
