The Blue Eyed Bettys - 2024

Monday, February 26 Goldstein Cabaret

The Blue Eyed Bettys return to FST to celebrate their 10-year "Bandiversary" in the place they first performed together!  With powerful vocals in three part harmony, The Blue Eyed Bettys electrify audiences with their unique indie-folk popgrass sound. Daniel Emond on banjo, Sarah Hund on fiddle, and Ben Mackel on guitar weave tales of humanity, from whimsy to sorrow to hilarious takes on daily life - and everything in between. Since meeting in FST's "Poems, Prayers & Promises" in 2014, The Bettys have recorded three albums, played Lincoln Center, and toured extensively throughout the U.S.

With Daniel Emond on banjo, Sarah Hund on fiddle, and Ben Mackel on guitar, The Blue Eyed Bettys delight with their powerful vocals in three part harmony to create an indie-folk, popgrass sound. With home bases in Asheville (Ben), Queens, NY (Daniel), and Indianapolis (Sarah), The Bettys have cultivated a following through extensive, independent touring since 2014.

The Blue Eyed Bettys have played Lincoln Center-NYC, 30A Songwriters Festival, The American Music Festival, and Ocrafolk Festival.   They have opened for Sam Bush (2x) and shared bills with bands such as Mipso, Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, Larry Cordle, Woody Pines, Underhill Rose, and more.

The Blue Eyed Bettys are easily the most exciting Americana act to hit Sarasota in the past year...Their sweet harmonies drive smart originals and judiciously chosen covers.

Wade Tatangelo, Sarasota Herald-Tribune

The Blue Eyed Bettys lit up the stage... with a mix of tunes that was part traditional and mostly innovative. And it was damn good.
