FST Summer Camp: Labels & Jars

Youth Classes

The Florida Studio Theatre School is dedicated to nurturing the individual creativity of youth. We see children not just as individuals, but as creative individuals. From the beginning student to the serious performer, the FST School is a program designed to advance the young actor in classes of acting, music, dance and improvisation.

Upon completion of the 4-year program, actors will possess a professional understanding of the theatre which includes a solid acting method, stage technique and professional performance opportunities. In addition, the students will involve themselves in the entire creative process, from writing to playmaking.  Whether your interest is to explore personal creativity and confidence, or serious training in the theatre, you will find your child's artistic home in Florida Studio Theatre's School.

FST School offers youth classes for children ages 5 to 17 year-round, including Summer Camp. To read about our instructors, click here.

Scholarships

One third of the children attending workshops, Summer camps and children's performances are doing so on full or partial scholarship.  This provides for a diverse mix of participants in all of the education activities at FST.  Anyone can give a scholarship to a child in need by sponsoring one particular child in a particular class or by contributing to the Children's Scholarship Fund including the Dana Helfrich Memorial Scholarship.

For information on contributing to the Children's Scholarship Fund contact Pamela Smith at (941) 366-1350.
