Florida Studio Theatre (FST) is seeking a talented theater professional to lead the planning and execution of the organization’s core programming as Artistic Director. This newly conceived role will be part of a reimagined leadership team as FST’s long-serving Producing Artistic Director transitions into retirement and top leadership of the organization transfers to an Executive Director, a role effectively defined as a chief executive officer leading a team that includes the Artistic Director and an incoming Managing Director. Florida Studio Theatre (FST) invites applications for its Managing Director, a role for individuals with strong talent for running complex, multi-venue producing operations. The new Managing Director will lead the day-to-day administration of an organization producing more than 1,600 performances annually across five stages, with three additional stages and expanded housing and campus operations coming online at the end of 2027 with the creation of the McGillicuddy Arts Plaza. Florida Studio Theatre, a professional LORT D regional theatre in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Assistant Box Office Manager for its 5-theatre complex.

Job Responsibilities Include:

-          Ticket sales

Florida Studio Theatre is seeking a creative, highly motivated Marketing Associate to join its fast-paced Marketing Department.

We are looking for a well-rounded marketing professional who is also a strong graphic designer and content creator. The ideal candidate enjoys moving between projects—designing an ad, creating digital content, capturing photo or video, supporting a marketing campaign, coordinating with vendors, and jumping in wherever the department needs them.

This position is ideal for a self-starter who takes initiative, stays organized, manages multiple deadlines, and thrives in an environment where priorities can change quickly. The Associate works closely with the Director of Marketing and will have opportunities to grow across graphic design, digital marketing, photography, video, social media, and content creation.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Marketing and Content

• Support the execution of marketing campaigns across print, digital, email, social media, and other channels.
• Create engaging visual content for FST productions, programs, events, and institutional initiatives.
• Capture photo and video content, including audience interviews, rehearsals, events, cast features, and behind-the-scenes material.
• Edit photography and short-form video for digital and social media use.
• Assist with developing creative briefs, shot lists, campaign concepts, and content ideas.
• Identify opportunities for content and take initiative in bringing ideas forward.

Graphic Design

• Design and produce print and digital marketing materials, including advertisements, posters, banners, flyers, postcards, brochures, playbills, signage, and social media assets.
• Translate creative direction from the Director of Marketing into polished, effective visual materials.
• Work within established brand standards while adapting creative across multiple campaigns and platforms.
• Prepare production-ready files for print and digital placements.
• Manage revisions efficiently and accurately.

Project and Production Coordination

• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, keeping assignments organized and moving forward.
• Proactively follow up with internal departments to gather content, approvals, and materials.
• Coordinate with print and other outside vendors as needed.
• Review proofs and final materials for accuracy and quality.
• Help identify upcoming needs, deadlines, or missing materials rather than waiting for assignments to be given.
• Provide backup support for mailing and distribution operations when needed to maintain continuity.
• Jump in on other Marketing Department projects as needed.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, content creation, or a related field.
• Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with photography, videography, video editing, digital content, and/or social media.
• Experience working in theatre, performing arts, entertainment, or another arts organization is a plus.
• A marketing-minded approach with an understanding of how design and content support broader marketing goals and campaigns.

Location and Schedule:

·         This is a full-time, in-person position based at Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota, Florida. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

Florida Studio Theatre, Sarasota's Contemporary Theatre, seeks a Teaching Artist to support its education program. Reporting to the Director of Education, the Teaching Artist will work closely with the Education & Children’s Theatre Manager, Director of Improv, and other department team members. This position combines teaching, theatre-making, and meaningful engagement with the FST School community.

The Teaching Artist will primarily teach teen and adult classes, workshops, and intensives in acting, improv, and playwriting. The position will also contribute to FST’s Children’s Theatre and WRITE A PLAY programming, lead community workshops, and education outreach initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a versatile theatre artist who is passionate about education and believes in the transformative power of theatre. This role is for an engaging educator who celebrates collaboration and creates inclusive, supportive, and challenging learning environments for students of varied ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Teach classes, camps, workshops, and intensives primarily serving teens and adults in acting, improv, and playwriting.
• Develop and facilitate engaging curriculum for students with diverse abilities, experience levels, and artistic goals.
• Serve as the lead Teaching Artist for teen summer camps, providing artistic leadership, curriculum oversight, and collaborative support to teaching artists and camp staff.

Job Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Theatre Education, or a related field.
• Three or more years of professional experience as a theatre artist, teaching artist, or in a related arts field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching teens and adults in classroom, workshop, rehearsal, or community-based settings.
• Strong background in acting and improv, with experience or demonstrated interest in playwriting and new play development.
• Experience working with, or demonstrated interest in working with, individuals with disabilities and diverse learning needs, including the ability to adapt teaching approaches to support meaningful participation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to create inclusive learning environments for students of varied backgrounds, identities, abilities, and experience levels.

Florida Studio Theatre, a professional LORT D regional Theatre with five active theatre spaces, located in downtown Sarasota, FL is seeking Seasonal Part Time Box Office Assistant and Front of House Assistants to provide excellent customer service to theatre. This is a fast-paced, high-volume Box Office that services all five of our theatre spaces and is open seven days a week. Candidates must have good communication skills with a positive, friendly, and outgoing personality. Must be willing and able to spend a majority of the time on the phones. Must be prompt, reliable, and detail oriented. Must have open and flexible availability and be willing to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to evenings and weekends. The amount of hours available is variable week to week depending on the needs of the theatre

Job Responsibilities Include:

-          Sell new subscriptions and single tickets for all FST performances, events, and some rentals as well as renew existing subscriptions - over the phone, in person, and via mail.

-          Provide helpful information for performances, pricing options, parking, directions, and seating information.

-          Assist with patron relations and resolve complex patron inquiries and complaints.

-          Maintain familiarity with subscription and single ticket marketing initiatives, donor benefits, and Florida Studio Theatre events and website.

-          Guide patrons though their online interactions when needed.

-          Keep up a professional appearance in dress and attitude, and have a general appreciation for and understanding of live theatre.

-          Assist with the maintenance of patron records; including but not limited to filing, and updating patron records.

-          Assist with House Management of our 5 theatre spaces on an as need basis. This includes but is not limited to oversight of the events ushers and patron load in, completing and sending nightly reports, reconciling tickets for the performances and basic cleaning and maintenance of the space.

Florida Studio theatre is seeking a Part-Time House Manager to provide excellent customer service to patrons of the theatre. This position will serve as a House Manager for all 5 of our theatre spaces. This is a fast-paced position. The amount of hours available varies week to week depending on the needs of the theatre.

Job Responsibilities Include:

-       Welcoming patrons and ensuring an excellent and safe experience for patrons while they visit one of FST’s five theatres

-       Assisting with patron relations and resolving issues promptly
