Facilities Manager
Start Date: January/February 2026
Florida Studio Theatre, a LORT D regional theatre in Sarasota, FL seeks highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager for its 5-theatre complex. This role will oversee maintenance of all facilities - 5 major commercial facilities and 16 residential facilities as well as play a major part in the planning for the construction of a new 8-story building.
Duties include:
- Responsible for the safety & cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas, including theatres, restaurant, offices, parking lots, etc.
- Oversee day to day operations of all facilities – managing all work orders, ensuring they are handled in a timely manner.
- Hire and Manage facility vendors and vendor contracts.
- Develop and execute a business continuity plan (how/where the business would resume quickly in the event of a facility failure).
- Oversee a team of 3-4 employees, delegating and supervising their work.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years hands-on experience with building and equipment maintenance required, including:
- Proven experience as Facilities Manager or relevant position
- Well versed in technical engineering operations, facilities, and management best practices
- Knowledge of finance principals and budget management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good critical thinker
- Supervisory experience/strong leadership skills.
- Must be willing to be on-call evenings & weekends in the event of emergencies.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, etc.
- Verbal & written communication skills, organizational skills, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of and experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning materials, methods & equipment.
- Knowledge of safety precautions.
- Ability to communicate with a wide variety of personalities from executives to outside contractors.
- Responsible for budget creation and management
- Knowledge of UpKeep is a plus.
Salary - $70,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience.

Facilities Technician
Start date: ASAP
Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota seeks a highly skilled Facilities Technician. The full-time work is primarily repair and scheduled preventative maintenance of our campus which consists of 5 stages and 18 artist residencies, followed by projects as needed.
M-F work week, primarily 8am-5pm, with availability to come in on weekends if needed to address any Facilities-related issues.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50lb.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and landscaping requirements.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance.
- Perform landscaping duties.
- Maintain all areas safe and clean by sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing.
- Monitor and replenish supplies.
- Janitorial responsibilities.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for guests and employees.
- Assist with special tasks and projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance and landscaping.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques, as well as landscaping principles and practices.
- Ability to operate equipment and tools safely and effectively. Must have own tools.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work in an indoor and outdoor environment.
- Basic understanding of CCMS systems
Salary range: $20 - $26 an hour

General Management Assistant
Tentative Start Date: February 2026
Florida Studio Theatre (FST), a professional LORT D theatre located in downtown Sarasota, FL, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Management Assistant to join its administrative team. This position offers hands-on experience in professional theatre operations and works closely with the General Manager to support the day-to-day functioning of a vibrant, multi-venue producing organization.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Preparing and administering contracts for all guest artists in accordance with AEA, AGVA, USA, SDC, and non-union standards
- Supporting the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of apprentices and interns in FST’s Professional Training Program.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all Group Sales inquiries and coordinating internally as needed.
- Acting as backup manager for the Box Office and Front of House, including oversight of ticketing projects as needed.
- Maintaining and coordinating space calendars across FST’s five-theatre campus.
- Assisting with artist guest relations, including coordinating housing logistics and service scheduling.
- Providing administrative support on special projects and assisting the Development and Marketing departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service experience

Part Time Box Office and Front of House Assistant
Ideal Start Date: Rolling
Florida Studio Theatre, a professional LORT D regional Theatre with five active theatre spaces, located in downtown Sarasota, FL is seeking Seasonal Part Time Box Office Assistant and Front of House Assistants to provide excellent customer service to theatre. This is a fast-paced, high-volume Box Office that services all five of our theatre spaces and is open seven days a week. Candidates must have good communication skills with a positive, friendly, and outgoing personality. Must be willing and able to spend a majority of the time on the phones. Must be prompt, reliable, and detail oriented. Must have open and flexible availability and be willing to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to evenings and weekends. The amount of hours available is variable week to week depending on the needs of the theatre.
Responsibilities include:
- Sell new subscriptions and single tickets for all FST performances, events, and some rentals as well as renew existing subscriptions - over the phone, in person, and via mail.
- Provide helpful information for performances, pricing options, parking, directions, and seating information.
- Assist with patron relations and resolve complex patron inquiries and complaints.
- Maintain familiarity with subscription and single ticket marketing initiatives, donor benefits, and Florida Studio Theatre events and website.
- Guide patrons though their online interactions when needed.
- Keep up a professional appearance in dress and attitude, and have a general appreciation for and understanding of live theatre.
- Assist with the maintenance of patron records; including but not limited to filing, and updating patron records.
- Assist with House Management of our 5 theatre spaces on an as need basis. This includes but is not limited to oversight of the events ushers and patron load in, completing and sending nightly reports, reconciling tickets for the performances and basic cleaning and maintenance of the space.

Part Time House Manager
Florida Studio theatre is seeking a Part-Time House Manager to provide excellent customer service to patrons of the theatre. This position will serve as a House Manager for all 5 of our theatre spaces. This is a fast-paced position. The amount of hours available varies week to week depending on the needs of the theatre.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Welcoming patrons and ensuring an excellent and safe experience for patrons while they visit one of FST’s five theatres
- Assisting with patron relations and resolving issues promptly

Part Time Business Office Assistant
The Business Office Assistant helps to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the FST Business Office, supporting the Business Office Associate and Director of Finance.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Reconcile cash drawers daily. This includes:
o Balancing the drawers back to their starting balances
o Reconciling the sales and nightly revenue to Toast reports
o Creating invoices for petty cash as needed
- Prepare deposits
- Enter restaurant journal entry
- Go to bank for change
- Prepare AP checks for distribution and mailing
- Enter all income from box office
- Clear checks on the check log daily
- Send out request for status to Department heads weekly
- Compare all credit card statements to credit card feeds monthly
- Collect quarters from laundry machines. Rolls coins and deposit them.
- Assist Business Office with administrative work as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in Excel and able to create simple formulas.
- Must know how to count US currency.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Experience with Toast is a plus.
- Experience with financial management is a plus.
- Experience with accounts payable is a plus.
