The Nether

                   

The Nether is a virtual wonderland providing total sensory immersion. Just log in, choose an identity, and indulge your every desire. When a young detective uncovers a disturbing brand of entertainment in The Nether, she launches an investigation into the darkest corners of the imagination. Winner of the 2012 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, The Nether is both a serpentine crime drama and haunting sci-fi thriller that explores the consequences of living out our private dreams.

Anique Clements (Morris) is a New York City-based actress and graduate of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Some of her recent credits include Imogen in Cymbeline at the Great River Shakespeare Festival and Kara in an original work, The Savage Queen. When not acting, Anique is a mental health advocate and speaker. She is excited to be performing for the first time on one of FST’s stages.

William Thomas Evans (Sims/Papa) most recently played Max Prince in Laughter on the 23rd Floor at Saint Michael’s Playhouse and Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop at ACT of CT. Original Broadway casts include Camelot (1993 Revival), The Scarlet Pimpernel (versions 1 and 2), and A Tale of Two Cities. 6 National tours including Joseph and the Amazing..., pre-broadway Jekyll and Hyde, and 8 years as Santa in The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Recent off Broadway credits include Desperate Measures and The Fantasticks. 2 years in Vegas at The Palazzo with BAZ, and 2 seasons as Senator Lamar Farkus on Alpha House on Amazon.

Leah Greene (Iris) is thrilled to be making her Florida Studio Theatre debut! Professional credits include: The Sound of Music (National tour), Sister Act (International tour), Bridges of Madison County (Wagon Wheel Theatre), Evita, Les Miserables (Flat Rock Playhouse), and Disney Cruise Line. She has a BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University. @strudlmaus

Sam Mossler (Doyle) Last appeared at FST in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Other FST productions: How to Use a Knife (Chef George), Other People’s Money (Garfinkle). New York: The Owl and The Pussycat (Creative Space); The Sexes: According to Dorothy Parker (NY Comedy Club). Regional: The Philadelphia Story (New Harmony Theatre); The Tempest (Shakespeare on the Hudson); The Threepenny Opera (Connecticut Grand Opera). As a writer, Sam’s plays have been produced in New York and Los Angeles, and his screenplays have received honors from the Austin Film Festival and the International Screenwriters Association.
