Meet Your Instructors

Jason Cannon is an Associate Artist at FST. Besides teaching, he directs plays and musicals for the Mainstage, Stage III, and Children’s Theatre. He also works with the Acting Apprentices and New Play Development, occasionally performs with FST Improv, and motors Mixed Nuts.

 


Sarah Durham is originally from Campbellsville, Kentucky. Her writing has been published or produced in five states. Sarah studied improv and comedy writing at Chicago’s Second City, and hopes to continue to write joy into people’s lives. At FST, Sarah has co-written for the Children’s Theatre series and helped develop numerous cabarets. Sarah is the Head-Writer for FST Sketch and is a member of the FST Improv team.
 


Josh Ford grew up in Sarasota and graduated from Booker VPA’s Theatre Program. He studied Theatre at Southern Methodist University before returning to intern at FST. He traveled as an actor, writer, and director for 10 years, performing in plays as Tom in Glass Menagerie and George in Of Mice and Men, among others. He worked at Georgia Aquarium as Director of Entertainment prior to returning home again, where he first fell in love with Theatre and with teaching.


Catherine Randazzo is an Associate Artist for FST. She serves as Literary Manager, in-residence director, teaching artist, and professional actor. She leads new play development, collaborates on Cabaret development, teaches adult education classes, and leads audience outreach programs. She recently directed That’s Amoré!; Outlaws and Angels; Light My Fire; and Unchained Melodies for the Cabaret and Buyer & Cellar for Stage III. She attended Otterbein University where she received her BFA in performance.


Adam Ratner has been a part of Florida Studio Theatre for over 30 years. He teaches over 300 WRITE A PLAY workshops each year to both elementary and secondary and is the Lead Teaching Artist. As the Young Playwrights Festival Coordinator, Adam oversees the submission of plays from more than 7,000 students annually. Mr. Ratner teaches an array of acting, theatre arts, and improvisation classes from newcomers to advanced actors with students varying in age.
