The Marvelous Wonderettes

It’s 1958, and the Springfield High prom has unexpectedly lost its musical act. When called upon to take the stage, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts rally together to entertain their classmates in four-part harmony. An Off-Broadway hit, this cotton candy-colored musical features classic hits from the ‘50s and ‘60s like “It’s My Party,” “Lollipop,” “Son of a Preacher Man,” and “Mr. Sandman.”

The Marvelous Wonderettes was written & created by Roger Bean. Musical Arrangements by Brian William Baker, Orchestrations by Michael Borth, & Vocal Arrangements by Roger Bean & Brian William Baker. 

Run Time: The Marvelous Wonderettes runs 1 hour and 40 minutes with a 15 minute intermission

MEREDITH JONES (Betty Jean) is thrilled to return to FST for her third season! Most recently Meredith played the title role of Patsy Cline in FST's production of Always...Patsy Cline. Other favorite credits include Bakers Wife in Into the Woods, Mary in Vanities and Julia in The Wedding Singer. Meredith graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA with a BFA in musical theatre and currently lives in NYC with her number one fan, her husband!

SARAH LEDTKE MCCANN (Cindy Lou) is thrilled to be back at FST, after being seen as Velma in Hairspray. Favorite Regional: Dames at Sea (Joan), Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), Annie (Lily St. Regis), & Smokey Joe's Cafe (DeLee). Off-Broadway: Smile the Musical (Sandra-Kay). Sarah was also a contestant on ABC's The Bachelor - Season 15, where she luckily did not receive a rose. CHELSEA TURBIN (Suzy) is thrilled to be back in her home state making her Florida Studio Theatre debut! She was recently seen as June in Gypsy at Sacramento Music Circus. Previously, she toured internationally with Green Day's American Idiot. Regional credits include Amber in Hairspray (Maltz Jupiter Theatre), Gloria Upson in Mame (Riverside Theatre), Ethel Peas in Thoroughly Modern Millie (The Muny) and Fredrika Armfeldt in A Little Night Music (Seaside Music Theatre). TV: The Perfect Murder. B.F.A. from The Boston Conservatory.
