Teen Acting I

On At Begins
Mondays 5-6:30pm January 8

Classes run for 8 Weeks

Discover your inner actor! In this class, students will rehearse, and perform their own 1-2 minute monologues from a contemporary play or an original work. Over eight weeks of instruction, students will develop a foundational understanding of character, diction, vocal projection, breath control, and physicality - the core components of any great monologue. Warm-up theatre games, creative writing prompts, and in-class performance opportunities will help students grow in confidence, public speaking, creativity, and emotional intelligence. With the support of one-on-one instruction from your professional teaching artist, you’ll learn to build your acting technique and discover your voice on stage.

Take the next step in your acting journey! In this intermediate class, students will build on the foundational skills learned in Teen Acting 1 to create a multi-character scene in a collaboration with fellow actors and a resident Teaching Artist.
