Musical Theatre Production

Recommended for Ages 9-14  |  Create, rehearse, and perform an original musical revue! In this advanced class, students build confidence and sharpen acting, singing, and dancing skills while learning rehearsal techniques such as blocking, memorization, and working as an ensemble. Using songs from Broadway favorites like Wicked, Annie, Matilda, Mamma Mia, and Dear Evan Hansen, students will create original characters and a story celebrating imagination and collaboration. Students will also work alongside FST’s Resident Musical Director, Jim Prosser, to write and compose an original song for this year’s production. This class will culminate in a world premiere performance in FST’s historic Keating Theatre, complete with props, lighting, and sound.
