Acting Foundations

Whether you're brand new to acting or looking to reconnect with the fundamentals, Acting Foundations offers a comprehensive introduction to the core terminology, tools, and techniques essential for the beginning actor. Grounded in the FST Acting School Methodology, this class emphasizes a holistic approach to training—balancing sensory work, physical and vocal warm-ups, and exercises in relaxation, imagery, and focus. Students will also engage in ensemble-based work as well as introductory monologue work and introductory scene study, all designed to build a strong and sustainable foundation. This class can be taken multiple times, supporting emerging actors as they continue to strengthen their skills and grow their artistic practice.
