Tuesday -  The Great Game of Focus: There is more to our improv than just WHAT we say. So much of our communication to fellow players and the audience is wrapped up in HOW we say things. Exploring the work of the great Augusto Boal (Games for Actors and Non-Actors,) we'll talk about stage picture, scenography (designing a set on the fly), and movement in your improv. Take the pressure off the lines and off yourself! The back half of this class will be a scene-work, direct feedback bonanza. We'll talk about your tendencies and bad habits including how to eliminate them.

Wednesday- Acting Chops: The best improvisers are also excellent actors. Using scripts and stagecraft, we'll look at how to develop character quickly, see the little invisible in-the-moment sparks between each other, and speak to the truth of the scene. We'll also include some tricks that help you fake it til you make it. This is not your typical improv master class and while you can expect to grow as an artist, it won't come without work!

Thursday- Format Lab Session: PROCESS: We will do a deep dive into the most successful Cupholders format developed in our over 2--decade journey with improv. PROCESS is an exploration of the way a scripted play gets produced, all the way from auditions to opening night, except that each step along the way and the play itself is all improvised.
