Explore our 49-year history of producing the best in contemporary theatre

In 1980, Richard Hopkins was named Producing Artistic Director of Florida Studio Theatre, and he established the Mainstage series with a total of 106 subscribers. As FST grew to the leading regional theatre it is today so did the diversity of its programming. Below is a look at each series FST has to offer and the productions offered each season. 

Production History

Winter Mainstage

FST flagship series has been engaging audiences since 1980.

Winter Cabaret

One of FST's most popular series has been entertaining audiences since 1996.

Stage III

For the adventurous theatre-goer, FST’s Stage III series is dedicated to presenting plays that are challenging in content and unique in form.

Children's Theatre

FST has been providing theatre for children and families since 1991.

Summer Mainstage

Expanding on it's flagship series, FST has been providing summer entertainment since 1992.

Summer Cabaret

In 2014, FST expanded its summer offerings to include a Summer Cabaret Series.

Improv

FST Improv has been performing seasons of live comedy improvisation since 2004

From the centennial celebration of the woman's right to vote to celebrations of poetry to playwright commissions, explore additional special projects FST has spear-headed over the years.
