Once discharged, Naomi brings Anisah home with her to Mississippi, where things begin to unravel. Friendships are thrown into turmoil, families are fractured, and a city-wide political debate ensues. With the threat of deportation looming, everyone must examine the true meaning of family, friendship, and the American Way.

RACHEL LESLIE is pleased to return to the role of Naomi after she had the privilege of working on the premiere production last year at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Favorite credits include Millie in Trouble in Mind, Black Mary in Gem of the Ocean, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and Ivy Silver in the premiere of Sylvan Oswald’s Nightlands with New Georges in NYC. Ms. Leslie has performed in productions in NYC as well as at many regional theatres across the country. Film & TV credits include: Quietly, 666 Park Avenue and Law & Order.

ANDY PROSKY is delighted to make his FST debut in In The Book Of. In New York City his credits include King Lear starring Christopher Plummer at Lincoln Center. Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Tempest at The Pearl Theatre Company. Regionally he has performed at Arena Stage, Fords Theatre, The Walnut Street Theatre, The Old Globe Theatre, The Dallas Theatre Center, The Actors Theatre Of Louisville, The Folger Theatre, and The Cincinnati Playhouse. Internationally, he played at Vienna’s English Theatre. Film and Television credits include Taking Woodstock directed by Ang Lee, Men In Black, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Great Outdoors, Up Close And Personal, John Adams, Law And Order and ER. He will be seen in A Birders Guide To Everything starring Sir Ben Kingsley which will make its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this spring. He also will appear in Amazon Studio’s Alpha House with John Goodman.
