KATE ALEXANDER has been a resident actress with Florida Studio Theatre for over 20 years. Some of her favorite leading ladies performed in plays on these stages were: Filumena, Master Class, The Goat, Three Tall Women, Agnes of God, La Ronde, Shooting Simone, The Play About the Baby and Betrayal. Also a director, Ms. Alexander has directed numerous plays, most recently, The Exonerated, and Brooklyn Boy. Ms. Alexander is also the Associate Director of FST. In this capacity, she administers to the artistic needs of the theatre and its many community, state and national programs. Ms. Alexander has created a vast Education and Touring Program for FST including the award-winning WRITE A PLAY program touching the lives of over 60,000 children annually and serving as a model for theatres throughout the nation. Ms. Alexander is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Sarasota County Arts Leadership Award and the Woman of Power Award, from the National Council of Jewish Women and most recently The Reader’s Choice Handy Award for Best Actress for The Play About the Baby.
KIM CROW recently appeared as Mama in FST’s Fire On the Mountain. She is delighted to return. Other FST roles include: Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings in An Invasion of Privacy, Mrs. Berling in An Inspector Calls, Veronica in Veronica’s Position, Corinne in The Triumph of Love. Regional: Dr. Vivian Bearing in Wit (2), E.M. Ashford in Wit (1), all 32 characters in Parallel Lives, The Kathy & Mo Show, Mrs. Alving in Ibsen’s Ghosts, Fania in Playing for Time, Aunt Augusta in Travels With My Aunt. She is proud of her work for the following fine companies: Alabama Shakespeare, Cidermill Playhouse NY, Florida Rep, OTP at Orlando Rep, Mad Cow Theatre and National Players. Current Voiceovers: Craftwood Cabinets, Kennedy Space Flight Center, Mote Marine, Venice Regional Medical Center. She is the featured voiceover artist mentor for VocationVacations.com.
