From the funky jive of Harlem to the romance of the Stage Door Canteen, this is an evening filled with jazz, blues, bebop and classic songs. An international hit, it has delighted audiences with its sublime music including 'Minnie the Moocher,' 'In the Mood,' 'Fascinating Rhythm,' and 'As Time Goes By.'

SOPHIA HINSHELWOOD is thrilled to be back strutting her stuff with this amazing group of people. Most recently seen in the Cabaret’s Over the Rainbow, favorite credits include I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Woman #1), Sunday in the Park with George (Nurse/Elaine), Being Beautiful (Jena’/Young Berniece), Bronzeville (Georgia), and Ain’t Misbehavin (role originated by Nell Carter). This Miami native has also appeared in numerous commercials and is ecstatic to be back in the Florida sunshine! Proud Equity Member.
JENNIFER JOHNS is thrilled to be at FST following her performance last year in My Way. Hailing from NY, Jen has toured internationally with her solo cabaret show, and nationally with five Broadway and national touring productions. As a vocalist with the USO she often shares the stage with many of entertainment’s historically great personalities - most recently Nancy Sinatra! - Favorite Regional - Olivia in Twelfth Night, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Sandy in Grease, Peggy in 42nd Street. Favorite NYC - John Houseman, Playwrights Horizons, The Supper Club, Broadway Exchange with the Rockettes, The Duplex, the Rainbow Room. Television - Recurring roles on All My Children, One Life to Live, Strangers with Candy. Film - Moulin Rouge, Hairspray, Garden State, Kate and Leopold. Jennifer holds a Bachelors of Music Ed, Vocal Performance from Stetson University. www.cabaretscenes.com
JOEL NEWSOME was last seen on Broadway in the Mel Brooks hit, The Producers. He also toured with the National Company of The Producers where he performed the role of Leo Bloom. Other Broadway shows include the Tony Award winning Revival of 42nd Street. Off Broadway: Kuni-Lem; (Jewish Repertory Theatre). Other tours include Kander & Ebb’s Steel Pier (Buddy Becker) and a European concert tour of Leonard Bernstein’s Music. Regional: Caldwell Theatre, Goodspeed Opera House, Paper Mill Playhouse, North Carolina Theatre. Joel is a Graduate of Cincinnati’s Conservatory of Music.
JIM WEAVER returns to FST after appearing in “Over The Rainbow”. Other credits: Broadway: “Marie Christine”, “Don’t Call Back”. Off-Broadway: “Anything Cole”, “Mahalia”, “Radio City”, “Attendin’ Skeletons”. Regional: “West Side Story”, “Guys and Dolls”, “Anna In The Tropics“, “Ain’t Misbehavin”, “Smokey Joe’s Café”, “Three Penny Opera”, “Children Of Eden”, “Five Guys Named Moe”. European tours, TV appearances, Cast Recordings and Cabaret Shows. Jim also works as a Director and Choreographer, most recently directing August Wilson’s “Fences” here in Sarasota and choreographing “Guys and Dolls” for The Fine Arts Association in Ohio.
