BROOKE TYLER BENSON is a recent graduate of East Carolina University’s Honors College with a BFA in Theatre Arts, concentrating in Professional Acting. She has spent her recent summers as a Theatre Teaching Assistant at the North Carolina Governor’s School in Winston-Salem. In previous years, she has also served as the Theatre Department Head at Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp in Lake Wales, Florida.
CAREY BLACKBURN is from Greensboro, NC and received her BFA in Musical Theatre from East Carolina University in May 2017. Trained in both Meisner and Musical Theatre techniques at ECU, she enjoys everything from Eugene O’Neill to Pasek and Paul. Some of her favorite roles performed include Young Woman in Machinal, Sally in Reefer Madness, and Alice in Closer. Her upcoming passion project is a health and fitness blog for performers called Triple Threat Fitness!
JON DEVRIES is a proud member of the Florida Studio Theatre Acting Apprentice Company. His recent credits include The Glimmerglass Festival’s Oklahoma! and La bohème. Additionally, he has appeared onstage at the Howmet Playhouse, Actors’ Theatre Grand Rapids, Calvin Theatre Company, and more. Jon has held administrative positions with the Goodman Theatre and The Glimmerglass Festival. He holds a BA in Theatre and Business from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
MICHAEL FRASER is from Columbus, Ohio and an Acting Apprentice at Florida Studio Theatre. After first discovering his love for acting in a High School theater class, and promptly joining Orange High’s Drama Club where he played Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Nick Fender in the improvised Awesome 80’s Prom, he was accepted into Ohio University’s Theater Performance BFA program. There he acted in student films, worked on new play development with Ohio MFA playwrights, and concluded his tenure with a performance as John Williamson, in Ohio University’s production of Glengarry Glen Ross.
RYAN FRIEDMAN is a Puerto Rican-born actor and singer, who is currently an Acting Apprentice at FST. He is a recent graduate from Florida State University’s School of Theatre and Department of Psychology, ranging in experiences from classical to experimental theatre. His recent projects at FST have included Deck the Halls and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
KIHRESHA REDMOND is excited to be performing in her seventh children’s show here at FST. She is truly inspired by all of the talented playwrights this year. The plays are here and we can’t wait to share them all with you.
J. VANCE is an Indiana native who recently graduated from Ball State University with his BFA in Acting. Some of his recent collegiate credits include Gov. Jack Slaton in Parade, as well as Ben Weeks in The Normal Heart. Feeling extremely fortunate to be here, J is a proud member of the Acting Apprentice Company for Florida Studio Theatre.
