The Nether by Jennifer Haley

The Nether is a virtual wonderland providing total sensory immersion. Just log in, choose an identity, and indulge your every desire. When a young detective uncovers a disturbing brand of entertainment in The Nether, she launches an investigation into the darkest corners of the imagination. Winner of the 2012 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, The Nether is both a serpentine crime drama and haunting sci-fi thriller that explores the consequences of living out our private dreams.

The Nether will play from January 15, 2020 - February 7, 2020, in FST's Bowne's Lab Theatre.

Handle With Care by Jason Odell Williams

A young woman from Israel, Ayelet, reluctantly joins her grandmother on a trip to the United States. Circumstances both absurd and tragic bring Ayelet, who has little command of the English language, together with Josh, a young American man who has little command of romance, on Christmas Eve. Is their inevitable love an accident…or is it destiny, generations in the making?

Handle With Care will play from December 11, 2019 – March 8, 2020, in FST's Keating Theatre.

American Son by Christopher Demos-Brown

Set in a Miami-Dade police station in the middle of the night, a mother is hunting for answers about her missing teenage son. Soon her husband appears, and the evening spirals out of control. Fresh from its critically-acclaimed Broadway run, this powerful drama tackles family relationships, love, loss, and identity.

American Son will play from January 22 – March 22, 2020, in FST's Gompertz Theatre.

GM 2The Legend of Georgia McBride by Matthew Lopez

He’s young, he’s broke, his landlord’s knocking at the door, and he’s just found out his wife is going to have a baby. To make matters even more desperate, Casey is fired from his gig as an Elvis impersonator in a run-down, small-town Florida bar. When the bar owner brings in a B-level drag show to replace his act, Casey finds that he has a whole lot to learn about show business—and himself.

The Legend of Georgia McBride will play from April 1 – May 29, 2020, in FST's Gompertz Theatre.
