Perspective by Jannie Jones
November 12th, 2008Jannie Jones Returns to FST
It’s wonderful to return to FST, my home away from home. They are my theatre family and the warmth and appreciation I receive is unmatched by any of the many theatres at which I have worked.
Steppin’ Out is a fun show with wonderful music by Irving Berlin. The love songs are my absolute favorites, sure to stir the soul and touch the heart of every listener. The cast; Jim Weaver (a veteran like myself), Alison Foster and Ryan Flannigan (new additions) are extremely talented and a total joy to work with. I feel like I’ve known and loved them much longer than a couple months. I look forward to having them close to my heart for the years to come.
I am always full of smiles when I am returning to FST because I know I will have the nicest audience and the kindest theatre family on earth, especially if I am fortunate enough to work directly with Richard Hopkins, Artistic Director and our director. He and I bonded as Director and Actor over 10 years ago with a production of Larry Parr’s, My Castle’s Rockin’ and I am happy to work with him again and again. I expect quality theatre and professionalism and that is exactly what I receive from each and every department, THANKS FOR HAVING ME BACK FST. I WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU MY ABSOLUTE BEST.
