Special Events
Florida Studio Theatre is a non-profit professional theatre. As a non-profit, FST relies on contributed income to support many of our programs. Funds raised through special events help FST to:

Produce the best in contemporary theatre in the Mainstage, Cabaret and Gompertz Theatres.
Touch the lives of more than 50,000 children throughout the state of Florida each year, inspiring them to write plays with our model Write A Play program.

Provide scholarships which enable financially needy children to attend FST's classes and workshops.

Produce three exciting New Play Festivals featuring works by National, Florida and Young playwrights.
Legacy Society Reception: Tuesday, Jan 22, 2008
FST is pleased to honor FST's Legacy Society with this annual event. Members of the Legacy Society share a spirit of generosity and a strong commitment to the future of Florida Studio Theatre. This is a special opportunity to recognize those individuals who are helping to make FST's future possible. The Gala in the Garage - Row Party 2008: Sunday, Feb 17, 2008
The Row Party is a festive celebration of the opening of all of FST's annual programming. Community members gather together in support of FST's artistic and education programs. "Row Captains" commit to sponsor a row of seats in our Mainstage theatre, and enjoy a pre-show reception, a performance of Jewtopia, followed by a fun 'Gala in the Garage'.
The Spelman Award will also be presented at the Row Party. Named in honor of Florida studio Theatre's founding Artistic Director, Jon Spelman, the Spelman Award has been presented to an individual and a corporate sponsor who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership by providing FST with spiritual, financial, and /or in-kind support.
 Old Bags Luncheon: Wednesday, March 12, 2008
Please be our guest for the fourth annual Old Bags Luncheon. Fun and excitement await with a silent auction of attractive handbags and purses. After lunch, the festivities continue with a performance by the FST Improv Troupe and a live auction of some of the most prized bags, including the coveted Travel Bag! Tickets: $75.00 per person.
