 Interactive Improv for Advanced Improvisers with Jeff Wirth

Ready to take a real risk? Try inviting an audience member to become the protagonist of your next scene. This workshop will introduce you to the structures, tips and techniques of interactive improv, putting audience participants at the center of your scene, not just making suggestions from the audience. Discover the secrets to selecting the right audience participant. Learn how to build instant rapport. Find the ways to make any offer work, making you and the participant both look brilliant. If improv has become too familiar, this workshop will shake it up for you once again.
Jeff Wirth has conducted interactive performance workshops for Cirque du Soleil, Blue Man Group, Ringling Brothers Clown College, Disney Imagineering, and Universal Studios. He served as editor of the Interactive/Improv Theatre News and authored the book Interactive Acting. Jeff is the Executive Director of the Interactive Performance Lab at the University of Central Florida. Jeff's Improv work has been featured at the Big Stinkin' Improv Festival, Spontaneous Combustion Improv Festival, The New York Improv Festival and the Chicago Improv Festival. This class will consist mainly of scenework that leads to direct and honest feedback about you, the individual performer. Jeremy Lamb has directed improv groups for over 10 years, trained at all the right places, toured the country several times over, and currently produces the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival in Austin.

A lot of improvisers suffer from "Talking Head Syndrome" and Wendy and Lori, from the critically acclaimed Chicago group, Dominizuelan, (Directed by Charna Halpern and coached by Timmy Mayse) are looking to set up an intervention and YOU are invited.
