Return to Improv
Meet the 2007 Summer cast of FST Improv:

Christine Alexander (Ensemble) can be found throughout Sarasota. When she’s not at her day job or performing for FST, she is busy putting together the local artsy e-newsletter: anythingarts.com. You can catch her latest film role in the movie "Life in Minor" which was produced locally by Joe Winchester. Christine also played roles in "Plays that give pause..." from the second season of Sarasota Actors Workshop. And when she’s not being adored by her husband (Christopher), she is trapped in a dangerous relationship with Krackle. Christine would like to thank her family, friends and fans and remind everyone to not touch, maim, damage, hurt, or otherwise freak out the animals.

Andrew Bailes (Ensemble) Refusing to succumb to the sterility of modern technology, Andrew Bailes still thrives on making mix tapes. He doesn’t like to brag that he recently beat his two best friends at foosball three times in a row (two-on-one, mind you), nor does he ever mention that he mastered every song on Guitar Hero II at Medium Level. Finally, Andrew’s ideal evening must include at least two of the following items: a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon, a vinyl copy of Neil Young’s Harvest, a comic book, or a jukebox (but none of that digital crap).

Tim Beasley (Ensemble)Tim is thrilled and proud to be the sole African-American in the improv troupe. He has not yet learned how to cook tofu properly. He once went to Kentucky on a plane. He likes the taste of peaches but detests the fuzzy outer part. He does not like the smell of pencils. He has never knowingly killed an animal over two pounds. He doesn’t like when people are not nice to him. He believes size DOES matter. He is afraid of frogs.

Zac Chase (Ensemble) Zac is the one in the tie. He enjoys Uno, Euchre and other numeralcentric card games. He’s sorry for any confusion he may have caused. Chin up, though, where there’s a will, you can lead a horse to water. Voluntary donations required. If this doesn’t make any cents, it’s because Zac’s going for big money, no wammies.

Chris Friday (Ensemble) Chris Friday is thrilled to return to The FST Improv Company for their summer season after a successful run in the world premiere musical, The Plexiglass Slipper at the Asolo Repertory Theatre. Prior to making his Asolo Rep debut, Mr. Friday served as a full time Actor and Teaching artist at FST. As an Actor he performed in many plays from Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web, to David O. Selznick in Moonlight and Magnolias. As a teacher, Chris taught all levels of classes at the FST Conservatory, as well as writing in the public school system. In addition to being a founding cast member of the FST Improv Troupe, Mr. Friday also created and performs with the critically acclaimed Musical Improv group, Becky’s Rejects. This summer, Chris had the pleasure of writing and performing in the Sketch Comedy revue, Laughing Matters, too…for the FST Summer reading series. Chris wishes to thank God for all his blessings, and his friends and family for their love and support.

Rachel Oakes (Ensemble) Rachel is native Long Islander who found a love of acting after wanting more attention than her brother in the seventh grade. That rivalry has landed her here, at Florida Studio Theatre, where she is the Manager of Improvisation. Rachel has been performing with FST Improv for a year and a half and has loved every minute of it. She would like to thank her parents for supporting her brother and her brother for making her jealous enough to climb onto the stage.

Angel M. Parker (Ensemble) Angel comes from a long line of relatives not from the Sarasota area. But, if she had been born here she would have stayed. When Angel isn’t taking life seriously here at FST Improv, she spends time home schooling her cat, Collis, and weeding the flower garden. Though she has a love for all sports with balls, she prefers running since it’s not a team sport and therefore she never worries about getting picked last. She currently owes several people money and favors, and prefers that you not mention her name in Des Moines. Her favorite time is 3:00 o’clock and her favorite color is still orange.
