Michael Hollinger (Playwright) is the author of Opus, Tooth and Claw, Red Herring, Tiny Island, Incorruptible, and An Empty Plate in the Cafe du Grand Boeuf, all of which premiered at Philadelphia's Arden Theatre Company and have together enjoyed numerous productions worldwide. Tiny Island appears in New Playwrights: Best Plays of 1999, published by Smith and Kraus. Mr. Hollinger has written seven touring plays for young audiences, including Eureka! and Hot Air. For PBS, he has written three short films and co-authored the feature-length Philadelphia Diary. Awards and honors include a Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Citation from the American Theatre Critics Association, the Roger L. Stevens Award from the Kennedy Center's Fund for New American Plays, two Barrymore Awards for Outstanding New Play, the F. Otto Haas Award for an Emerging Theatre Artist, a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award, a commission from The Ensemble Studio Theatre/Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Science and Technology Project, and fellowships from the Independence Foundation, Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, and Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Mr. Hollinger is a resident playwright at New Dramatists and Assistant Professor of Theatre at Villanova University.
Richard Hopkins (Director) Artistic Director of Florida Studio Theatre since 1980, Richard Hopkins has guided the company from a small touring group to a professional regional theatre. Mr. Hopkins began his professional theatre career as a resident actor with Asolo State Theatre in Sarasota, Florida. In 1974 he founded the Palisades Theatre Company in Washington, DC, which subsequently moved to St. Petersburg to become American Stage. He served as its Producing Director from 1974-1980. Additional experiences include: President of the Florida Professional Theatres Association (1983-1985), Panelist for Theatre Program of Florida Arts Council, and Director/Instructor for Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus’ Clown College (1981). His many directing credits include: Metamorphoses, The Bully Pulpit, God’s Man in Texas, Hysteria, Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, 2: Goering at Nuremberg, Six Degrees of Separation, Execution of Justice, Death by Misadventure, Hi-Hat-Hattie, Invictus, Agnes of God, Beyond Therapy, True West, La Ronde, Betrayal, and numerous other plays and Cabaret projects including Sophie Tucker, Inspired Lunacy, Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits, Over the Rainbow, Permanent Collection and Laughing Matters…Too. This season he will also be directing Boleros for the Disenchanted and Laughing Matters 2009.

He’s toured a play performed in the air in Romania, studied slow tempo movement in Kyoto, and is so happy to return to the white sands of Sarasota!

Christian Kohn* (Dorian) - Recently appeared in the title role in Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure at the Cleveland Playhouse. He has performed both on and off Broadway and regionally. Jeffrey Plunkett* (Elliot) is happy to be back at FST where he played Paul in Permanent Collection and DeWitt in Pure Confidence. He also spent a season here in 1996 when he was twelve. Ron Siebert*(Carl) Ron Siebert has appeared in theatres all across America. Among the roles he has played are the title roles in Macbeth, Titus Andronicus and The Misanthrope. Other roles include Henry in The Real Thing, M. Gallimard in M. Butterfly, Marc in Art, C.K. Dexter Haven in The Philadelphia Story and Edward Chamberlain in The Cocktail Party. In addition, Ron has taught in the pre-college program at Carnegie Mellon University for the past 10 years.
