Sarah Jones (Author) is a Tony Award® winning playwright and performer. Her multi-character solo show Bridge & Tunnel was originally produced Off-Broadway by Oscar-winner Meryl Streep, and went on to become a critically acclaimed hit on Broadway. Educated at Bryn Mawr College and the United Nations International School, Sarah recently returned to her UN School roots by becoming a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, traveling as a spokesperson on violence against children, and performing for audiences from Indonesia to Ethiopia, the Middle East and Japan. Sarah has also received grants and commissions from The Ford Foundation, NYSCA, the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, and others, and theater honors including an Obie Award, a Helen Hayes Award, two Drama Desk nominations, and HBO’s US Comedy Arts Festival’s Best One Person Show Award, as well as an NYCLU Calloway Award in recognition of Sarah as the first artist in history to sue the Federal Communications Commission for censorship.
 Kate Alexander (Director) Ms. Alexander is the Associate Director of FST. In this capacity, she ministers to the artistic needs of the theatre and its many community and state educational programs. On the FST stages some of the plays she has directed are Shirley Valentine, …and L.A. is Burning, Pure Confidence, The Miamians, Wit, Proof, Lobby Hero, Ten Unknowns, The Exonerated and Brooklyn Boy. Ms. Alexander has also pioneered an acting training method for children which serves as the foundation for the FST school, and co-developed the award-winning WRITE A PLAY program touching the lives of over 55,000 children annually. Ms. Alexander is the recipient of numerous acting, directing and public service awards. Most recently, she co-authored the book Ideas for the Animated Short: Finding and Building Stories.

 Karen Stephens* is pleased to be making her debut at FST! A veteran of the South Florida stage, Karen has been seen in productions of Jar The Floor (Maydee), the S. Fla. premieres of A House With No Walls (Cadence Lane), Charlie Cox Runs With Scissors (Kiki) and Hand Of God (Cleste Jackson); also As You Like It (Roslind), Bee-Luther-Hatchee (Shelita Burns), Rocket Man (Louise), Dark Rapture (Max), Little Shop of Horrors, The All Night Strut, Vital Signs, Spunk, Ain’t Misbehavin and Chicago. Karen was a Carbonell Award nominee for her role in Florida Stage’s production of Spunk and Michael McKeever’s premiere of Charlie Cox Runs With Scissors, for which she also received the South Florida Theatre League’s Curtain Up Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her other solo performances include, Loquacious and Bodacious, the Life and Times of Zora Neale Hurston, and her auto-biographical, Out of the Box.
